Obverse description Highly stylized and schematically rendered helmeted bust of Athena facing right, derived from Athenian New Style coinage prototypes but heavily abstracted in the local Lihyanite tradition. The helmet crest is indicated by bold, sweeping curved lines across the upper field, while the eye is rendered as a prominent almond-shaped relief element. A single crescent symbol appears below the eye on the cheek, serving as a regional control mark or tribal identifier. The facial features are reduced to linear and geometric forms, reflecting the engraver's interpretation of the Hellenistic model through an Arabian artistic idiom. The flan is irregularly rounded and the relief is bold, consistent with hand-hammered production.
