Reverse description Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a high-backed throne, his upper body nude, draped from the waist down; he extends his right hand forward holding an eagle with spread wings, and grasps a tall sceptre with his left hand. The throne features decorative legs. In the left field, the monogram ΦΙ (control mark). The Greek legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs to the right and above, reading 'of King Alexander.' A beaded inner border frames the design.
