Reverse description Zeus Aetophoros enthroned in left-facing three-quarter view upon an ornate throne with dotted legs and stretcher, his torso nude and muscular, his lower body draped in himation. In his outstretched right hand he holds an eagle perched facing right, while his left hand rests upon a tall sceptre. The Greek legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ to the left and ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ to the right frames the central figure, reading 'of King Alexander.' A circular shield device appears in the lower left field as a mint control mark. The coin is bordered by a beaded inner border, and the overall style is consistent with the Amphipolis or related Macedonian mint production under Cassander.
