| Beschrijving keerzijde | Zeus Aetophoros enthroned left upon a low backless throne, his upper body nude and draped from the waist down, his outstretched right hand supporting an eagle with spread wings, and his left hand grasping a long sceptre. In the left field, a sickle symbol appears, and below the throne a monogram is positioned above the letter M, serving as mint control marks attributable to the Babylon mint. The Greek legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs to the right of the enthroned figure. The composition reflects the canonical reverse type established under Alexander III and continued by his successors. |
