The Greek legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the right field, identifying the coin as that of Alexander. A six-pointed star symbol appears in the left field, serving as the mint control mark for the Amphipolis issue. The composition is characteristic of the canonical Alexander-type reverse established at the Amphipolis mint. |
