| Beschrijving keerzijde | Zeus Nikephoros seated left upon a high-backed throne, his body semi-draped from the waist down, holding a Nike (Victory figure) extended in his right hand and a long sceptre upright in his left. The throne is elaborately rendered with decorative elements. The Greek royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ to the left and ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ to the right flanks the enthroned deity in two vertical columns of beaded letters. A control mark (Ξ or monogram) appears to the left of the throne, with a secondary control mark beneath the throne seat. An eagle or similar symbol appears at the far left of the field. The composition follows the standard Seleucid tetradrachm reverse type derived from the coinage of Antiochus VII. |
