| Opis awersu | Diademed head of Alexander II Zabinas facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic portrait tradition with finely engraved wavy hair swept back and secured by a royal diadem, the ends of which fall behind the neck. The facial features are idealised yet individualistic, with a smooth cheek, well-defined brow, and slightly parted lips. The portrait fills the flan with no encircling legend, the field around the effigy being plain. The die-cutting exhibits the fluid, dynamic style characteristic of late Seleucid royal portraiture. |

| Opis rewersu | Zeus Nikephoros enthroned to the left on a high-backed throne, his body rendered in three-quarter view with drapery across the lower limbs. In his extended right hand he holds Nike, the goddess of victory, while his left hand rests upon a long sceptre. The royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs in two lines flanking the seated deity. A monogram composed of the letters ΔΗΡ appears in the left field, and a second monogram of ΠΑΥ is placed beneath the throne. In the exergue, the Seleucid era date ϘP (year 190 = 123 BC) is inscribed. |
