| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Apollo facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with idealized facial features and elaborately detailed hair gathered beneath a laurel wreath. Long wavy tresses fall onto the shoulder, and a second decorative element — possibly a quiver strap or ribbon — is visible behind the neck. The flan is broad and slightly irregular, with the portrait occupying the central field without a surrounding legend. The modeling of the face reflects the high artistic standards of late Hellenistic Asia Minor coinage. |

Above the bull, the ethnic legend ANTIOXEΩN is inscribed in Greek characters, identifying the citizens of Antioch ad Meandrum. Below the bull, the magistrate's name AINEAΣ appears in Greek letters. The entire design is enclosed within an elaborate maeander (Greek key) border, a decorative motif particularly associated with the Maeander River region of Asia Minor. Two triangular objects appear at the top of the field above the border. |
