Reverse description A rose with an open bloom shown in plan view occupies the central field, with a budding rose stalk to the left; to the right stands a thymiaterion (incense burner) rendered in profile. The ethnic legend ΡΟΔΙΟΝ arches above the rose, while the control letter Α appears between the bud and the main rose. The entire design is set within a square incuse, a hallmark of Rhodian coinage of this period, with plain fields within the recessed border.
