Reverse description A goat stands right in a firm, naturalistic pose, its body rendered with careful attention to musculature and texture. To the right of the goat, an owl stands facing right with head turned to face the viewer, a hallmark secondary type symbol of this series. The entire composition is set within a deeply recessed incuse square, the standard reverse format for early classical Thracian tetradrachms. The ethnic inscription AINI appears in the field, identifying the issuing city of Ainos in Thrace.
