| 背面描述 | Owl standing right with head facing forward, perched atop an amphora upon which the figure of Perseus (?) also appears; the ethnic legend AΘE appears above to the right, with the inscription O ΔEMOΣ across the field. The entire design is enclosed within an olive wreath, emblematic of Athens, rendered in fine relief. This reverse type is characteristic of the so-called New Style Athenian coinage of the late Hellenistic period. |
