| Obverse description | Helmeted head of Athena facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with carefully detailed curling locks of hair falling along the neck. The goddess wears an Attic helmet adorned with a prominent upright crest and decorated on the bowl with the figure of Pegasos in relief. The eye is rendered in the archaic-influenced frontal convention, and the facial features are finely modeled with a strong profile. A border of large dots encircles the field. |

| Reverse description | Owl standing right with head facing forward, perched atop an amphora upon which the figure of Perseus (?) also appears; the ethnic legend AΘE appears above to the right, with the inscription O ΔEMOΣ across the field. The entire design is enclosed within an olive wreath, emblematic of Athens, rendered in fine relief. This reverse type is characteristic of the so-called New Style Athenian coinage of the late Hellenistic period. |
