Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with carefully detailed curling locks of hair falling along the neck. The goddess wears an Attic helmet adorned with a prominent upright crest and decorated on the bowl with the figure of Pegasos in relief. The eye is rendered in the archaic-influenced frontal convention, and the facial features are finely modeled with a strong profile. A border of large dots encircles the field.

Reverse description Owl standing right with head facing forward, perched atop an amphora upon which the figure of Perseus (?) also appears; the ethnic legend AΘE appears above to the right, with the inscription O ΔEMOΣ across the field. The entire design is enclosed within an olive wreath, emblematic of Athens, rendered in fine relief. This reverse type is characteristic of the so-called New Style Athenian coinage of the late Hellenistic period.
