Reverse description Zeus Aëtophoros (or the solar deity Shamash) enthroned left on a high-backed throne, his right arm extended outward holding a horse, and his left hand grasping a long scepter. A tree appears to the outer left of the figure. Secondary control marks include the Greek letter lambda (Λ) to the inner left, a monogram to the inner right, and a vertical inscription in the outer right field. The overall composition follows the reverse type derived from the coinage of Alexander the Great, here adapted with regional iconographic and epigraphic elements.
