| Reverse description | A deep incuse square of linear border encloses a stylized grapevine rendered with fine detail, displaying spreading leaves, delicate curling tendrils, and five pendant bunches of grapes. The composition is centred within the incuse punch and reflects the city's association with viticulture. The ethnic legend MENΔAION is inscribed around or within the field, identifying the issuing city of Mende in Chalcidice. The overall design is characteristic of the late Archaic to early Classical Macedonian coinage tradition. |
