| Description de l’avers | Wreathed head of the goddess Tanit facing left, rendered in fine Sicilian-influenced style with elaborately braided and waved hair secured beneath a grain wreath. The effigy is adorned with a pendant drop earring of triple-tassel form and a beaded necklace visible at the truncation. Stylised dolphins with open mouths surround the head in the field, arranged to frame the goddess and accentuate the circular composition. The modelling of the facial features — almond-shaped eye, delicate nose, and slightly parted lips — reflects the high artistic quality characteristic of the Sicilian workshop tradition adopted by Carthaginian die-cutters. |

| Description du revers | Forepart of a horse with finely engraved mane turning its head to the left, occupying the central field in bold high relief. Behind the horse, a tall palm tree with fronds is depicted, serving as a canonical Punic symbol of Carthage and the Phoenician homeland. A Punic (Neo-Punic) legend appears in the lower exergual area. The overall composition is bold and schematic, characteristic of Carthaginian military coinage produced for mercenary pay during the Sicilian campaigns. |
