| 正面描述 | Quadriga galloping to right, the charioteer depicted as a winged male figure grasping the reins with both hands. Nike flies left above the scene, extending a wreath to crown the charioteer. In the exergue, Skylla swims to the right, brandishing a trident over her left shoulder and gesturing with her right hand toward a fish swimming right before her; above her arm to the right, the engraver's signature ΕΥΘ. The composition is executed in the bold, exuberant style characteristic of the great Syracusan die-engravers of the late fifth century BC. |

| 背面描述 | Facing left, the head of Demeter (or Kore) rendered in high relief, adorned with a wreath of grain ears, poppies, and oak leaves, a double curved earring, and a plain necklace bearing a lion's-head pendant. Below the neck truncation appears the engraver's signature ΕΥΜ. Encircling the portrait, four dolphins swim to the left, and the ethnic legend ΣΥΡΑΚΟΣΙΩΝ arcs around the field, identifying the issuing city of Syracuse. The portrait exemplifies the refined, classicising style of the master engraver Eumenes. |
