| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central type depicting a cista mystica — a partially open wickerwork chest from which a serpent emerges, its body coiling prominently to the left and upward across the lid of the basket. The entire device is set within a broad encircling ivy wreath, rendered in high relief with detailed leaves and berries uniformly spaced around the circumference. The field is plain with no legend or inscription. The composition is characteristic of the cistophoric coinage tradition originating in Pergamon and adopted by cities of western Asia Minor. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | A bow-case (gorytos) depicted centrally between two confronting serpents with raised heads, their bodies intertwined below the case in a heraldic arrangement. To the left of the bow-case, the Greek legend ΛΑΟ identifies the issuing city of Laodikeia. To the right, a wolf stands in profile facing right above a turreted head of Tyche facing right, serving as the civic badge and emblems of Laodikeia ad Lycum. The design follows the standard cistophoric reverse type with city-specific symbols substituted in the side fields. |
