| Obverse description | Facing head of Helios rendered in high relief, turned very slightly to the right, with flowing, wind-swept hair radiating outward in thick, undulating locks across the entire field. The facial features are modelled with exceptional naturalism characteristic of early Rhodian coinage, with deeply set eyes, a finely rendered nose, and slightly parted lips. No legend or inscription appears on the obverse. The artistic treatment reflects the influence of the late Classical style, emphasising three-dimensionality and idealised divine beauty befitting the patron sun god of Rhodes. |

| Reverse description | A rose with open bloom depicted in three-quarter view occupies the centre of a square incuse, with a budding secondary stem issuing to the left. The ethnic legend ΡΟΔΙΟΝ appears above in Greek characters, identifying the issuing city of Rhodes. In the right field, the magistrate's control mark Φ (phi) is placed above a bucranium (ox skull), serving as secondary identifying symbols.
