| Obverse description | Head of Persephone (or Tanit) facing left, hair elaborately waved and dressed with a wreath of grain ears, adorned with a pearl necklace and drop earrings. The hair flows in rich curls behind the neck. The surrounding field is decorated with dolphins swimming around the portrait, a characteristic device of Sicilian coinage of this period, evoking the island's maritime identity. |

| Reverse description | Fast quadriga driven to the left by a charioteer, depicted in profile with billowing drapery, holding the reins taut over four galloping horses rendered with vigorous, dynamic musculature. A winged Nike (Victory) flies above the quadriga from the right, descending to crown the charioteer. In the exergue, the Punic inscription ṢYṢ (Ziz) appears, identifying the mint. Ground line below the horses is strewn with floral or rocky exergual elements. The scene is framed by a border of dots. |
