| Description du revers | Cult statue of Apollo Clarius depicted full-length, standing to left, nude to the hips with a himation draped over the left arm; the god extends a kantharos in his outstretched left hand and holds a thyrsos upright in his right hand. To the right stands a tall pedestal surmounted by a small figure of Marsyas facing right and holding a wineskin, referencing the mythological contest between Marsyas and Apollo. A monogram appears in the left field, and the ethnic inscription ΤΗΙΩΝ identifying the issuing city of Teos is prominently placed in the field. |
