| Obverse description | Zeus seated in three-quarter view to the right upon an ornate throne with turned legs, his upper body nude and his lower body draped in a himation. His right arm is raised, the hand held near his head in a gesture of authority, while his left hand rests upon the throne's armrest. The figure is rendered in the Hellenistic tradition with careful attention to musculature and drapery. The whole design is enclosed within a beaded border. |
