| Obverse description | Youthful head of Dionysos facing right, crowned with an ivy wreath adorned with corymbs and broad leaves rendered in high relief. The deity's long, wavy hair falls in thick locks about the neck, conveying an idealized Hellenistic treatment of the god. The facial features are finely modelled with a soft, rounded cheek and a slightly parted lip characteristic of late Hellenistic Thracian die work. The open field surrounding the portrait is plain and unlettered. |

| Reverse description | Dionysos depicted standing in three-quarter view to the left, his weight shifted in a relaxed contrapposto stance. In his right hand he holds a bunch of grapes, while his left arm cradles a narthex stalk, both attributes emblematic of the god's dominion over wine and vegetation. A monogram appears in the inner left field, and the letter Φ is placed in the outer right field as a control mark. The encircling legend ΔΙΟΝΥΣΟΥ ΣΩΤΗΡΟΣ ΜΑΡΩΝΙΤΩΝ — meaning 'of Dionysos Soter of the Maronites' — runs around the periphery of the reverse, identifying the civic and religious authority behind the issue. |
