Reverse description A double-headed axe (labrys), the traditional civic emblem of Tenedos, dominates the central field, its handle oriented vertically. The legend ΤΕΝΕΔΙΩΝ arcs above. To the left of the handle, a monogram and a bunch of grapes are depicted; to the right, a small standing figure of Hermes holding a kerykeion (caduceus). The entire composition is enclosed within a circular laurel wreath border.
