| Obverse description | Veiled head of Hera facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic relief, the veil draped closely around the head and falling in soft folds. Within the folds of the veil, above the crown of the head, the letter A appears as a control mark. The portrait conveys a serene, divine character consistent with the civic iconography of Chalkis. |
