Obverse description Draped bust of Tyche facing right, wearing a distinctive mural crown with crenellated battlements rendered in fine relief, her flowing hair arranged in loose curls falling behind the neck. The facial features are rendered with considerable artistic skill, exhibiting the refined Hellenistic style characteristic of Smyrnaean civic coinage. The field is smooth and unlettered, the portrait occupying the full flan with strong sculptural presence.
