| Obverse description | Janiform conjoined heads of a male deity and a female deity facing in opposite directions, the male head to the left laureate with curling beard and flowing hair, the female head to the right with smooth hair drawn back. The distinctive janiform type is the hallmark of Tenedian coinage, evoking the island's mythological heritage. The high-relief modeling of both portraits displays accomplished Hellenistic engraving, with finely rendered facial features and elaborate hair treatment. No legend appears on the obverse. |
