| Description de l’avers | Facing right, the helmeted head of Athena Parthenos rendered in fine high relief within a beaded border. The goddess wears the characteristic Attic helmet adorned with a prominent crest and a decorative scroll motif at the bowl, with long wavy locks of hair cascading beneath the neck guard. The modelling of the facial features is idealized in the classical tradition, with a straight nose, almond-shaped eye, and softly defined chin. The cheek-pieces of the helmet are raised, framing the face with elegant symmetry. The portrait reflects the refined die-cutting style associated with the New Style coinage of Athens. |

| Description du revers | An owl, the sacred bird of Athena, stands facing right with head turned to face the viewer, rendered in fine detail with spread tail feathers visible, perched atop an amphora. A rudder appears to the lower left of the amphora, and Greek monograms flank the central device. The entire composition is enclosed within an olive wreath, a hallmark of the Athenian New Style tetradrachm series. The ethnic ΑΘΕ appears in the field, identifying the issuing city of Athens. |
