Obverse description Diademed head of Dionysos facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with flowing hair adorned with a wreath of ivy and berries. The portrait is executed in high relief with naturalistic modeling of the facial features, a small dotted earring visible at the ear. The hair falls in voluminous, carefully articulated waves and curls, characteristic of late Hellenistic engraving tradition. The field is plain and unlettered.
