Aegestes, the city`s founder, as hunter, standing right with left foot upon rock, right hand resting on hip, left elbow on knee; he wears a pilos suspended behind the neck, sword hanging from strap around left shoulder, ankle-boots (cothurni) and chlamys over left arm; two javelins in left hand. At his feet, two hounds right and in right field, ithyphallic herme left, wearing petasus.
