Obverse description Female head facing left, identified as Tanit-Persephone, rendered in fine Hellenistic style. The effigy is adorned with a wreath of grain or leaves, a triple-pendant earring, and a pearl necklace. A thymiaterion (incense burner) appears in the field before the face. The portraiture reflects strong Sicilian Greek artistic influence, characteristic of Punic coinage of this period.
