Reverse description A bowcase (gorytos) depicted centrally between two upright coiled serpents facing inward, their heads raised. To the left of the bowcase, the Greek ethnic abbreviation ΛΑΟ identifies the issuing city of Laodikeia. To the right, a wolf standing right is placed above a kithara (lyre), serving as the city's identifying civic symbols. The design follows the standard Cistophoric reverse format adopted across Pergamene-era mints of Asia Minor.
