Reverse description A male charioteer, nude or lightly draped, drives a quadriga (four-horse chariot) in full gallop to the right, with the horses shown at a prancing stride. Above the horses, a winged Nike flies to the right, extending a wreath toward the charioteer in a gesture of victory. The composition closely follows Syracusan tetradrachm prototypes. In the exergue, a Punic inscription reads in Phoenician characters. The overall style reflects the work of Sicilian engravers employed at the Punic mint.
