Obverse description Standing nude male figure, identified as Herakles, depicted frontally in the field with arms extended outward to either side, likely strangling or confronting the Stymphalian birds. The figure is rendered in a bold, somewhat archaic style characteristic of Achaean League bronze coinage. A magistrate's name, partially legible as ΠYΘΩN, appears in the field. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show characteristic patination of ancient bronze.
