| Beschrijving voorzijde | Bare head of Apollo facing right, rendered in the idealized Hellenic style with richly detailed, layered curls swept back from the brow and bound with a tainia. The youthful, clean-shaven face displays fine workmanship characteristic of early Macedonian bronze coinage. The effigy is set within a beaded border and occupies the full field of the flan, with no inscription on this side. |

In the lower field beneath the horse, a spearhead is shown pointing to the left, serving as a control symbol. The Greek legend ΦIΛIΠΠOY, reading 'of Philip', arcs above the equestrian group in bold characters. The composition is contained within the slightly irregular round flan typical of hammered Macedonian bronzes of the period. |
