Obverse description Bare head of the Emperor Nero facing right, rendered in the provincial Greek style with finely delineated hair swept back from the brow and falling in locks to the nape of the neck. The portrait occupies the full height of the flan, with the legend ΜΗΛΙΩΝ disposed around the periphery. The die work reflects competent local engraving characteristic of Peloponnesian civic bronzes of the Neronian period.
