| Obverse description | Laureate head of Zeus facing right, rendered in bold relief with characteristic thick wavy hair and full beard, executed in the robust Hellenistic civic tradition of Phrygia. The broad, mature facial features and deeply modelled locks are typical of Zeus portraits on the bronze coinage of inland Anatolian city-states of the period. The flan is irregular and the field plain, with no visible legend on the obverse. |
