Obverse description Crude frontal bust of a ruler, likely Richard I, depicted in a schematic Byzantine style typical of Crusader-era coinage. The figure appears robed or armored, with arms extended or holding regalia, rendered in low relief on an irregularly shaped flan. The design shows strong Byzantine iconographic influence, with the image heavily worn and struck on a rough planchet. Surrounding legends, if present, are largely indistinct due to the irregular striking and flan shape.
