| Descrizione del dritto | Forepart of a griffin facing right, rendered in archaic Greek style with characteristic hooked beak and upright ear visible in the field. The creature's head and neck are boldly modelled in high relief, occupying the majority of the obverse flan. The griffin was the civic emblem of Teos and appears as the principal type on all denominations of this series. The irregular flan edges are typical of early Ionian coinage of this period. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Quadripartite incuse square with four recessed compartments divided by a raised cross, each quarter exhibiting a granular or stippled surface texture consistent with early hammered technique. The incuse punch is deeply impressed and approximately square in outline, filling the reverse flan. This design is characteristic of early Ionian fractional silver coinage of the late Archaic period, serving as the die countermark to secure the flan during striking. No legend or additional device is present. |
