| Obverse description | Head of Persephone facing right, depicted in archaic Greek style with distinctive rolled or waved hair, set within a shallow incuse circular border. The facial features are rendered in low relief with a pronounced eye, aquiline nose, and slightly open mouth characteristic of the Emporion mint's small denomination coinage. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, typical of hand-hammered fractional silver issues from the western Greek colonial tradition. |
