Obverse description Diademed portrait bust of Ptolemy I Soter facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic tradition with strong, idealized facial features. The king wears a royal diadem, its ties visible behind the head, and an aegis draped around his neck — an attribute evoking divine and royal authority. The hair is rendered in thick, wavy locks receding from the forehead in a style derivative of Lysippan portraiture. The effigy fills the field with commanding presence, typical of early Ptolemaic royal coinage. No legend appears on the obverse.
