Obverse description Draped bust of Pope Urban VIII facing right, wearing the papal camauro and mozetta, with a short beard rendered in fine detail. The effigy occupies the central field within a beaded inner border, with the engraver's mark 'G·MOL' visible at the lower truncation. The circumferential Latin legend reads VRBAN·VIII·PONT·M·A·XIV, identifying the pontiff and his regnal year, separated by ornamental dots. The portrait is executed in a bold Baroque relief characteristic of Roman papal coinage of the mid-seventeenth century.
