Obverse description Draped bust of Leopold I facing right, wearing a large flowing allonge wig rendered in high relief with voluminous curls cascading to the shoulders. The portrait is executed in a refined baroque style typical of early eighteenth-century Lorraine coinage. The circular Latin legend, separated by pellets, runs along the periphery within a toothed inner border.

Reverse description A bold Jerusalem cross — a large Greek cross with a smaller crosslet at each angle — dominates the central field, surmounted by an ornate ducal crown with elaborate foliate scrollwork. The mint date appears to the left of the crown within the circular legend. The reverse exhibits a plain, unadorned field around the central device, with a toothed border encircling the entire design.
