| 背面描述 | A large displayed eagle — the alerion, heraldic emblem of the Duchy of Lorraine — occupies the central field, its wings spread wide with elaborately engraved feathers and a small crown above the head. The bird is shown without beak or talons in the traditional alerion heraldic convention. The circumferential Latin legend, separated by stops, reads MONETA. NOVA. LIXEI. CVSA. with the date 16 34 split on either side at the top, all within a beaded border. |

Henriette of Lorraine ruled Phalsbourg and Lixheim as sovereign princess following the death of her husband Louis de Guise in 1631, one of the few instances in the fragmented German-French borderland territories where a woman exercised independent minting rights. This teston was struck at a moment of acute pressure: the Thirty Years' War was consuming the region, and Lorraine itself would fall under French military occupation within two years of this coin's issue.
The alerion variant — referencing the armorial birds of the Duchy of Lorraine — distinguishes this from other teston types of her brief reign. Phalsbourg's mint output for this period is sparse, and dies were not always consistent across small runs.
