| 正面描述 | Right-facing draped and armored bust of Francis III, Duke of Lorraine, with elaborate long curled wig rendered in fine relief. The effigy displays a richly detailed cuirass with ornate shoulder drapery. The circular Latin legend runs along the coin's periphery, interrupted by the portrait, and is separated from the field by an inner beaded border. |

Francis III of Lorraine struck this teston in 1736, just one year before he was compelled to cede the duchy to Stanisław Leszczyński — the deposed King of Poland and father-in-law of Louis XV — as part of the diplomatic settlement ending the War of the Polish Succession. The arrangement was explicit: Lorraine would pass to France upon Stanisław's death, which it did in 1766. Coins of Francis III from this final Lorraine period are consequently scarce; he departed for Vienna in 1737 to marry Maria Theresa and never returned.
