| Obverse description | Veiled head of Hera facing left, rendered in profile with finely detailed drapery covering the hair and nape; the veil falls in layered folds characteristic of South Italian bronze coinage of the Second Punic War period. Three pellets, serving as value marks for the teruncius denomination, are arranged in a triangular grouping in the right field behind the head. The portrait is executed in a bold, somewhat archaic local style, with a prominent nose and strong jawline. No legend or inscription appears on the obverse field. |
