| Reverse description | Central pellet within a raised annular ring, surrounded by segmented radial divisions filled with Kufic inscriptions arranged in a wheel-like pattern, closely mirroring the obverse layout and consistent with the Fatimid quarter-dinar prototype from which these Salernitan tarì derive. An outer beaded border encircles the entire design. The irregular flan and variable thickness are typical of the hammered production technique employed at southern Italian mints during this period. |
