| Obverse description | Central circular cartouche contains the mint name Yazd and the AH date 797 in Arabic script, with small star separators flanking the numerals. Surrounding the cartouche, a continuous circular legend in bold naskh script carries the titles and names of the nominal overlord Sultan Mahmud Khan and the effective ruler Amir Timur Gurkan. The field between the inner cartouche and the outer legend is fully occupied by flowing calligraphic text, leaving no plain field visible. The flan is irregular and slightly dumpy, characteristic of hammered Timurid silver coinage of this period. |

| Reverse description | The reverse is entirely occupied by multi-line Arabic script in a bold, somewhat square naskh or kufic-influenced style, filling the field without a central cartouche. The Shahada occupies the central area of the legend, with the names of the four Rightly Guided Caliphs — Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali — disposed around them in accordance with standard Sunni Timurid coinage conventions. A partial border or rim line is visible at the periphery. The striking is characteristic of a hand-cut die on an irregular flan, with some weakness at the edges. |
