| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse field is dominated by a multi-line Arabic inscription in square Kufic script arranged in a bold, geometric composition filling the central field. The legend proclaims the kalima (Islamic profession of faith) and identifies Timur as the issuing authority, styled as amir. A circular marginal legend, partially legible along the flan periphery, carries supplementary titulature and likely includes the mint name Herat and the regnal year in the AH calendar. The strong relief and angular letterforms are consistent with the monumental epigraphic tradition of Timurid mint production at Herat. |
