Reverse description Central field bearing a bold square or rectilinear Kufic Arabic legend in multiple lines, with the mint name Jurjan and the regnal citation of Timur (Tamerlane) together with the nominal overlord Mahmud Khan. The inscription is framed by a dotted or beaded border, characteristic of Timurid hammered silver coinage of the late 14th century. The Kufic script is angular and geometric, contrasting with the cursive Naskh of the obverse. The date AH 793 (1391 CE) appears within or adjacent to the main legend.
