| Obverse description | The entire field is occupied by multi-line Arabic-script legends in bold, deeply struck Tughra-influenced calligraphy, divided horizontally by a raised linear band. The upper register contains the royal titles and the name of the sultan, Shams al-Din Muzaffar Shah, while the lower register bears the state and mint attribution. The script fills the flan to its edges, with no pictorial devices, reflecting the strictly epigraphic tradition of Gujarati sultanate coinage. Small pellet ornaments appear in the field as decorative separators between textual elements. |
